Zhong Yanqun, the fulltime deputy director of the World Expo 2010 Shanghai Executive Committee, yesterday met Cui Tiankai, China's Ambassador in Japan, to discuss promoting Japan's participation in Expo.

Zhong gave a progress report on the Shanghai World Expo. She also discussed how they would encourage Japan to sign a participation contract with the Shanghai Expo organizers.

Cui thanked Zhong and said he believed the Shanghai event would be one of the most attractive Expos in history.

After the meeting, Cui visited the exhibition hall in the Expo Mansion and had a bird's eye view of the site.
