Libya vows to present ‘new Libya’ at Expo 2010

Libya will use World Expo Shanghai as an opportunity to show a “new Libya” to the world, a senior official of the country said while signing a contract with organizers today.

The North African nation will allocate all the resources necessary for its participation at Expo 2010.

Gamal N Al Lamsushe, commissioner general of Libya’s Expo team, told Hua Junduo, his Chinese counterpart, that the nation will allocate all necessary resources to the event.

Hua believed Libya’s exhibition would be a highlight of the Expo.

Libya confirmed its participation in November 2007. It is the 107th participant to sign a contract with Expo 2010 organizers.
