Qamdo: Qamdo is beautiful, vast and rich area in the valleys of Jiasha, Nujiang and
Lancang rivers at the loot of Hengduan Mountain. It attracts tourists from home and
abord with its wonderful mountains, rivers, dense forests, old historical sites and
simple local folklore.
Champalin Monastery: One of the biggest monasteries in
tile U areas, it was built by Xerb Songbo, disciple of Zongaba, leader of tire Yellow sect, in 1444. The monastery houses
utility statues of Buddha, murals and
Thangkas, which are of it high value for
Appreciation.
Karub Ruins: One of the three large primeval cultural ruins in Tibet and from the New Stone Age, the Karub ruins have a 4,0000-year history. They are located in Karub Village, Jagka District and 12 kilometers to the southeast of Qaindo County seat. The ruins cover an area of 10,000 square meters. Studies have provided they were once a large-scale primeval village.
Village of Painters: Garma is famous as the village of painters. It has history of more than 800 years in painting Thangka pictures and murals. Painters from this village established the Gardeng Garzhub painting school, which is famous in Tibet.
Hongla Mountain Ecological Tourist Atea: A nature reserve of the Tibet Autonomous Region, it has an average elevation of 2,3110-4,400 meters. It is a habitat of some 200 rare golden monkeys, which are close to their extinction in the world. The scenery of three-dimensional ecology is magnificent and tourists can appreciate snowclad mountains, forests, canyons, peaks and deep valleys.
