The four-star Qifu Resort Center, situated at the southeastern section of Guangzhou, is only a 15-minute' driving from Tianhe Railway Station and 35 kilometers from the airport. The hotel owns a disco, a gym, four tennis courts, four squash courts and a games room. The 17-floor hotel has 275 rooms, with a standard room covers an area of 35 square meters. Each of the room features a balcony, a safe, a coffe maker and a satellite television. We provide a wide range of food with Chinese, Western, Japanese, Korean and Taiwanese restaurants and bars. The hotel's grand banquet hall can hold 1, 500 people, and is perfect for parties, banquets and exhibitions. We also have several meeting rooms, with the largest room capable of holding 300 persons. For recreation, we have a karaoke bar, a disco hall, a gym, four tennis courts, 13 badminton courts, four squash courts and a games room.

We enjoyed staying at this hotel, close to our family who lives in QiFu, very much. The staff were professional, courteous, and helpful. The room was extremely clean and spacious. Here are my primary constructive comments: 1. The room service staff would ring our room, even though the "Do Not Disturb" light was on, to ask if we need to have our room cleaned. We did not, and had turned the light on because our child was taking a nap. The phone call nearly woke her up. 2. The room service staff had a tendency to talk relatvely loudly outside our door during the afternoons, when our child was napping. I would suggest that they be mindful of which rooms have the "Do Not Disturb" light on before speaking so loudly. 3. The gym at QiFu Resort Center needs significant improvements. The gym equipment is rusted and looked dangerously insecure - I personally wouldn't use it. The carpet was filthy and when I sat down to do push-ups or sit-ups, all of the carpet fiber would adhere to my clothing. 4. Construction crew at the QiFu Resort Center used some sort of highly toxic paint, in the area immediately under the restaurants, causing a nauseating smell to permeate the entire area (very unappetizing). 5. WiFi was not available in the rooms (extremely inconvenient for conducting business while we were traveling) and was available only in the lobby (but it was very slow). I would have been very unhappy if I had need to conduct more business. For the reasons we had visited, which was to see family, we were generally happy with our stay.
