Taipei signs UBPA contract

The Republic of Congo will display a modern African city surrounded by traditional villages, showcasing urban and rural harmony at the World Expo 2010.

The country on Wednesday signed a participation contract with organizers, making it the 93rd participant to ink a contract for the Shanghai event.

It will showcase its natural resources, historical heritage and modern development.

Congo will take part in a joint pavilion display with more than 40 African countries. "Harmonious life in modernization" is the Congo's Expo theme.
