Romania signs Expo contract

Romania has signed an Expo participation contract with the organizers.

Shanghai Executive Vice Mayor Yang Xiong and Ovidiu Silaghi, the minister for small and medium-sized companies, trade, tourism and liberal professions of Romania, attended the signing ceremony on Friday.

Silaghi said his country would finalize pavilion designs and construction drafts by Fedruary and try to Finish construction by the end of next year.

Yangg said the organizers attached gewat importance to Romania's participation and will provide every support. The two sides exchanged views on pavilion layout and construction schedules.

Yang and Hong Hao, the director of the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination, also held talks with Liu Zengwen, the Chinese Ambassador to Romania, on issues regarding the 2010 event.
