Taipei delegation visits Expo Bureau

A delegation led by Pan Jiasen, a senior official of the Kuomintang's Taipei Committee, toured the Urban Best Practices Area yesterday at the World Expo site.

Taipei will have two exhibitions-its wireless city and its recycling program–in the UBPA at World Expo 2010.

Zhong Yanqun, fulltime deputy director of the World Expo 2010 Shanghai Executive Committee, said during the meeting that she was convinced the wireless network and recycling program would set an example in global urbanization.

Pan said all members of the delegation were impressed by the visit and extended their best wishes for the 2010 event.

The 24-member delegation is on a five-day visit to the city at the invitation of the Shanghai Committee of the Communist Party of China. The tour started on Monday.
