The Shanghai Tower, the second skyscraper in the world
In December 2011 there were about 1,060 skyscrapers in Shanghai already completed and in operation, while 166 others were under construction. The Shanghai World Financial Center (492 m) and the Jin Mao Tower (422 m) are the most famous among those already active. The most important among those still under construction, is the Shanghai Tower, which will be completed in 2014, will be tall approximately 632 meters and will have 128 floors. When completed, the Shanghai Tower will be the tallest building in China and the second in the world, only surpassed by the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.
