Foreign investors vie for Nanning property market
|
16-Dec-2005 - Chinanews |
The real estate investment promotion fair held in southwest China's Nanning City on Dec. 13 to 14 attracted 124 well-known real estate companies from home and abroad to vie for the city's real estate market. Many real estate companies from the UK, Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong rushed to participate in the competition.
Insiders believe that the potential advantages of west China are arousing increasing interest of domestic and foreign real estate capital. High profit and low risk are an important reason for international real estate companies to explore and station in the western regions. Vibrant development momentum makes Nanning the most vigorous city in west China, and its advantage of location in the frontier of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area is very attractive for real estate companies.
Tony Cook, president of a British leisure industry company who intends to invest in Nanning's real estate industry, said he had made investigation in Beijing, Shanghai, GuangZhou and some other large cities but considers Nanning a good choice of investment. Although a late beginner, Nanning's real estate market sees a steady uptrend of housing price. In the meantime, Nanning has excellent habitation environment and can be called a garden city. There are also many favorable factors to boost housing consumption, for instance, some graduates will work at the schools they studied in, some people in the outskirts and counties will move to the city, and urban residents will demand to improve their dwelling environment.
Nanning's executive vice mayor Chen Ruixian said that Nanning will stick to the moderately tight land supply policy. This fair promotes 30 plots of land for commercial use, including Nanning Economic and Technological Development Zone, China-ASEAN business area, Donggouling New Area and Xiangsi Lake New Area. These plots will be posted for public bidding in the near future. |
