China is a superb tourist destination with a rich history and an enormous number of sights, such as Beijing to Tibet via Xi'an's terracotta warriors, following the Silk Road route, sailing down the Yangtzi River, or exploring the Dr Seuss landscape of Guangxi Province.
China is the home to over 1.28 billion people, which is equivalent to 22 percent of the world population. It's the home to 56 different ethnic groups, it offers a cultural variety that is not found elsewhere. The Han people make up 91.02 percent of the total population, and the other 55 national minorities 8.98 percent. They are Mongolian, Hui, Tibetan, Uygur, Miao...China's major cities Beijing, Shanghai, Xi'an and GuangZhou are all worth a trip alone.
But China is not only a giant of tourism, it is in the middle of an economic boom that makes China one of the leading nations in the world.
