Day 1 Shanghai
On arrival, CITS guide will hold a welcome sign to meet you. You will be transferred to the Holiday Inn Downtown Shanghai **** for a 2 nights stay on a room and breakfast basis. The rest of the day is free to relax. You could take a walk along the famous waterfront to fully appreciate this diverse city.

(D) ♦ Day 2 Shanghai
Morning:
Visit the Shanghai Museum with its collection of ancient Chinese Art of bronze, ceramics, painting and calligraphy.
Afternoon:
Continue the Yu Garden, which has over 30 pavilions, linked by a maze of corridors and bridges and Jade Buddha Temple where two rare jade statues of Sakyamuni Buddha is treasured.
Evening:
Enjoy an acrobatic show at the Portman Ritz-Carlton Hotel for your entertainment after dinner.

(B+L+D) ♦ Day 3 Shanghai to Chonqing
Morning:
Transfer to take the flight to Chongqing.
Afternoon:
Visit Chongqing Zoo and the General Joseph W. Stilwell Museum, whom was chief commander of US forces in the China-Burma-India Theatre during World War II. Continued you will be transferred to the port where you will board the Cruiser for your Pre-cruise night. This evening enjoy dinner on board.

(B+L) ♦ Day 4 Cruising on the Yangtze
After breakfast enjoy a shore excursion to Shibanzhai - a gem of Chinese architecture. This wood red pavilion, 11-storey high was built against a protruding 220-meter rectangular rock with sheer cliffs on the north bank. After lunch aboard, cruising along the Yangtze and dinner aboard.

(B+L+D) ♦ Day 5 Cruising on the Yangtze
Today you will witness some of the most fascinating sights in all of China. Cruise through the spectacular Qutang Gorge and enjoy a shore excursion at Shennong Stream. You will continue cruising through the Wu Gorge and the west part of Xiling Gorges.

(B+L+D) ♦ Day 6 Yichang to Beijing
Pass the east part of Xiling Gorge, which is famous for its strangely shaped cliff faces. Enjoy a shore excursion at the Three Gorges Dam Project. One of the largest construction project ever undertaken, it will forever change the face of the Yangtze River.
Afternoon:
After disembarkation at Yichang, you will be transfer to the airport for your flight to Beijing, China's capital. Transfer to the hotel for 3 nights.

(B+L) ♦ Day 7 Beijing
Morning:
Take a half-day excursion to explore the incredible Forbidden City with its grand palaces and courtyards. Built in 1420, it was here that 24 emperors lived and ruled for over 500 years. The South Gate leads you to Tian'anmen Square - the biggest of its kind in the world.
Afternoon:
Explore the beautiful Summer Palace where you can discover gardens, palaces and pavilions with temples and halls in a tranquil, landscaped lakeside setting. Continue to the Temple of Heaven which itself has become a symbol of the city. Here ancient emperor worshipped God and prayed for harvest.
Dinner is served at the original, century-old Quanjude Roasted Duck Restaurant.

(B+L+D) ♦ Day 8 Beijing
Morning:
You will take a half-day guided visit to the awesome Great Wall of China. Here you can enjoy the stunning views as you stroll along this seemingly endless piece of history, which winds its way into the far distance.
Afternoon:
Continue to the Ming Tomb, which due to their enormity took over 200 years to complete.
Evening:
Dinner is served at the original, century-old Quanjude Roasted Duck Restaurant.After dinner you will enjoy a fascinating Peking Opera Show in the front Zone at the Liyuan Theatre.
