♦ Day Itinerary

A 12-day tour which covers Shanghai, Suzhou, Wuxi, Nanjing, Hangzhou and Beijing. Shanghai, a cosmopolitan, bustling and heavily populated city in China. All the following cities are the famous ones, which show you the picture of "Paradise on Earth" that sightseeing focuses on the lovely gardens, lakes and terrific islands. The final destination, Beijing, is nowhere in China with its awesome Great Wall, enormous Forbidden City and tranquil Summer Palace.

Day 1 Shanghai

On arrival, CITS guide will hold a welcome sign to meet you. You will be transferred to the hotel for a two-night stay on a room and breakfast basis. The rest of the day is free to relax or explore. You could take a walk along the famous waterfront to fully appreciate this diverse city.

♦ Day 2 Shanghai

Morning:
Visit the Shanghai Museum with its collection of ancient Chinese Art of bronze, ceramics, painting and calligraphy.
Afternoon:
Continue the Yu Garden, which has over 30 pavilions, linked by a maze of corridors and bridges. And Jade Buddha Temple where two rare jade statues of Sakyamuni Buddha is treasured.
Evening:
An acrobatic show at the Portman Ritz-Carlton Hotel for your entertainment after dinner.

♦ Day 3 Shanghai to Suzhou

Morning:
Transfer to the rail station, an hour train journey takes you to Suzhou, known as the Venice of the east. City tour begins with visiting the Humble Administrator¡¯s Garden, which is followed by a trip to Silk Reeling Factory.
Afternoon:
You will go to the Tiger Hill. Climb the hill and find a number of historical sites, which can be traced back to the founding of Suzhou.

♦ Day 4 Suzhou to Wuxi

Morning:
Transfer to the rail way station for an hour train journey to Wuxi.
Afternoon:
Visit Lake Taihu, which is one of the largest freshwater lakes in China and Turtle Head Island, a peninsula extending into the northwest part of the lake.

♦ Day 5 Wuxi to Nanjing

Morning:
Liyuan Garden, a beautiful garden with lovely pavilions in a tranquil.
Afternoon:
Transfer to the rail station, two-hour train journey takes you to Nanjing.

♦ Day 6 Nanjing

Morning:
Your visit includes a mausoleum of Dr. Sun Yat-Sen, the father of China's great revolution and Presidential Palace.
Afternoon:
Continue to the Confucian Temple.

♦ Day 7 Nanjing to Hangzhou

Morning:
Transfer to the rail station and afterwards take a two-hour hours journey to Hangzhou where sightseeing focuses on the lovely gardens, lakes and terrific islands.
Afternoon:
Upon arrival, meet and transfer to the hotel, check in for 2 nights and have a good rest.

♦ Day 8 Hangzhou

Morning:
A visit to the Six Harmonies Pagoda, which is definitely a masterpiece of ancient Chinese architecture. Afterwards you will have a short cruise on the scenic West Lake, the highlight in the city.
Afternoon:
Continue to the Lingyin Temple ¨Cthe biggest Buddhist Temple in the southern China and tea farm.

♦ Day 9 Hangzhou to Beijing

Morning:
Transfer and take the flight to Beijing. Meet the guide and transfer to the downtown area.
Afternoon:
Explore the Temple of Heaven where ancient emperor worshipped God and prayed for harvest. Transfer to the hotel for 3 nights.

♦ Day 10 Beijing

Morning:
Take a half-day excursion to explore the incredible Forbidden City with its grand palaces and courtyards. Built in 1420, it was here that 24 emperors lived and ruled for over 500 years. The South Gate leads you to Tian¡¯anmen Square - the biggest of its kind in the world.
Afternoon:
Continue to the beautiful Summer Palace where you can discover gardens, palaces and pavilions with temples and halls in a tranquil, landscaped lakeside setting.
Evening:
After dinner, you will enjoy a fantastic Peking Opera Show in the front Zone at the Liyuan Theatre.

♦ Day 11 Beijing

Morning:
You will take a half-day guided visit to the awesome Great Wall of China. Here you can enjoy the stunning views as you stroll along this seemingly endless piece of history, which winds its way into the far distance.
Afternoon:
Continue to the Ming Tomb, which due to their enormity took over 200 years to complete.Then walk along the Sacred Way, which means the road leading to heaven.
Evening:
Dinner is served at the original, century-old Quanjude Roasted Duck Restaurant.
