WORLD EXPO 2010 SHANGHAI: THE GREATEST EXPO OF ALL TIME

World Expo 2010 will herald as the biggest Expo ever occurred. Shanghai World Expo 2010 will be held in Shanghai from May 1 to October 31 of 2010. The exhibition will occupy a total area of 5 square kilometers. It will be expected 70 million visitors. Among the most economically advanced countries, 17 have already announced their intention to participate with a national pavilion. The area of Shanghai World Expo 2010 will be well organized: 30% will be occupied by the exhibition halls, 15% from other service facilities, 15% from transport infrastructure and the remaining 40% will be used as green space. Massive infrastructure works are already started (and partially achieved): among other things will be restored over 400 hotels and built 300 new structures for hospitality. In the Pudong Airport (the main airport of Shanghai) will be made new tracks and new waiting halls, also the Hongqiao airport will be modernized. The high-speed railway line will be extended inside Shanghai World Expo 2010. Subway: at 5 subway lines already in existence, will add another 6 new lines (which will be completed by the end of 2009) bringing the railway network in Shanghai for a total of over 400 km.
