Moldova, known as "the kingdom of wine", may have the country's beautiful women prepare fine wines for visitors to its pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo, the country's Ambassador to China said today as he signed a participation contract.
The eastern European country is famous for its beauties, good wine and beautiful landscapes. When people of Moldova serve guests in their homes, beauty and fine wine are always necessary, ambassador Iacob Timciuc said at the signing ceremony in Shanghai.

The country will build a fortress to showcase its wine culture as well as its history and modern cities. Its exhibition will be themed "My city, My Fortress".
A Moldova-style fortress will make it easier for visitors to experience the customs and history of the country, said Timciuc.

The country will exhibit in the Joint European Pavilion.
Moldova has a history of making wine for more than 3,000 years. Moldovan wine has long been regarded as some of the best in the world.
Hong Hao, director of the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination, said he believed the exhibition of Moldova would be one of the most attractive at the Expo.
The Republic of Moldova confirmed its participation in November, 2006.
