Beijing marked a milestone yesterday when it signed a participation agreement with the organizers of the 2010 Shanghai World Expo.
As a result, all of the 30 provinces and municipalities on the Chinese mainland have now signed Expo contracts.
The capital city will provide an exhibition themed around the "Better City, Better Life" concept.

Beijing delayed the signing of an Expo contact because it was fully involved in orchestrating the Olympics in August and the Paralympics in September.
China's State Council launched a promotion campaign last September to encourage all provinces and municipalities to participate in the 2010 Shanghai event.
The exhibitions of the national participants will be held in a joint pavilion, and separate pavilions will be arranged for Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.
