 State Nature Preserve
West Mt. Tianmu: Located in the
middle of Linan, West Mt. Tianmu is a
state- level nature preserve rich in
plants and animals which are of a
respective variety of over 2000 and
several hundred. Trees here are
known for being tall, huge, old and
rare. Here you will find pine trees 56
meters high. Chinese fir truants which
are ten arm spans around. The
treasured ginkgos regarded as living
fossils", and the Chinese hemlock "the
only son of the earth" Cool in summer,
Mt. Tianmu is an£İdeal summer resort
with beautiful scene.
Qinliang River
Qinliang Peak: A state-level nature
preserve, covering an area of 108 sq.
kms. is beautiful with winding peaks,
queer rocks and sea of clouds. It's an
ideal place off scientific inspection,
exploration, sight-seeing and summer
camp.
Qiantang River Tidal Bore: A world-
famous natural wonder brought about
by aero gravitation and special
topography. Every month there comes
a ten-day strong bore period which is
attractive enough to deserve your visit.
Though the 18th of lunar August is
the traditional Bore Festival with
swarms of visitors, joining¾Éa regular
tour entitled "Racing with the Bore"
might be better rewarding. The Grand Canal: Hangzhou is the
southern end of the Beijing-Hangzhou
Grand Canal. A seven-arched bridge
which is 1300 years old and a most
typical ancient south China town
