Pingxiang with a history of 1,700 years is adjacent to Hunan Province and is known as the "strategic passage of Hunan and Jiangxi". Pingxiang has produced men of ability and outstanding personages.
Nielong Cave:
Located 15 kilos north of Pingxiang, the 4,000-
meter-long cave is a natural karst cave. This zigzag
cave with stream is connected by halls. The biggest
cave hall of 30 meters in height can accommodate
1,000 people. Stalagmites and curtains are dainty
and exquisite in thousands of postures and afford a
magnificent view of the natural gallery of sculptural
arts.
Memorial Hall of Anyuan Railway Workers Movement.
The memorial hall, built in 1968, is located on
the mountainside of Mt Niuxing in Anyuan. Displayed
in the exhibition hall are contents involving the hard
life and spontaneous struggles waged by Anyuan
workers, furnishing rich historic data of the Chinese
worker's movement in the early years.
