From the centuries-old cities of Beijing and Xi'an to the bustling cities of Shanghai, form the garden city of Nanjing and Suzhou to the unique scenery of Guilin, this journey through China is an unforgettable experience. Except a few days with some early morning and occasional late evening ¨C you rewards this tour offers are immense in this phenomenal country.
Day 1 Beijing
On arrival, CITS guide will hold a welcome sign to meet you. You will be transferred to the Grand View Garden Hotel **** for a three-night stay on a room and breakfast basis. The rest of the day is free to relax.

(L+D) ♦ Day 2 Beijing
Morning:
Take a half-day excursion to explore the incredible Forbidden City with its grand palaces and courtyards. Built in 1420, it was here that 24 emperors lived and ruled for over 500 years. The South Gate leads you to Tian'anmen Square - the biggest of its kind in the world.
Afternoon:
Explore the beautiful Summer Palace where you can discover gardens, palaces and pavilions with temples and halls in a tranquil, landscaped lakeside setting.

Morning:
You will take a half-day guided visit to the awesome Great Wall of China. Here you can enjoy the stunning views as you stroll along this seemingly endless piece of history, which winds its way into the far distance.
Afternoon:
Continue to the Ming Tomb, which due to their enormity took over 200 years to complete. And walk along the Sacred Way, which means the road leading to heaven.
Evening:
Dinner is served at the original, century-old Quanjude Roasted Duck Restaurant. After dinner you will enjoy a fascinating Peking Opera Show at the Liyuan Theatre

Morning:
Explore the Temple of Heaven which itself has become a symbol of the city. Here ancient emperor worshipped God and prayed for harvest.
Afternoon:
Transfer to take the flight to Nanjing. Situated on the formidable Yangtze River, Nanjing the former Chinese capital with its attractive tree-lined boulevards. Transfer to the hotel and have a good rest.

Morning:
Your sightseeing this morning is the Mausoleum of Sun Yat Sen, China's founding father, which sets amidst the picturesque Purple Mountains.
Afternoon:
A visit to the Yangtze River Bridge - an incredible feat of Chinese engineering.

(B+L+D) ♦ Day 6 Nanjing to Suzhou
Morning:
Transfer and take the morning express train to Suzhou that is a lovely garden city, which has inspired many Chinese painters over the years.
Afternoon:
Visit the Lingering Garden and enjoy a walk along the narrow cobblestone streets.

Morning:
City tour begins with visiting the Humble Administrator's Garden, which is followed by a trip to Silk Reeling Factory.
Afternoon:
You will go to the Tiger Hill Climbing the hill and find a number of historical sites, which can be traced back to the founding of Suzhou.

Morning:
Transfer to the rail station and take the train to Shanghai.
Afternoon:
Meet the guide and pass through the old town and take a walk along the famous waterfront to fully appreciate this diverse city.

Morning:
Visit the Shanghai Museum with its collection of ancient Chinese Art of bronze, ceramics, painting and calligraphy.
Afternoon:
Continue the Yu Garden, which has over 30 pavilions, linked by a maze of corridors and bridges. And Jade Buddha Temple where two rare jade statues of Sakyamuni Buddha is treasured.
Evening:
Enjoy an acrobatic show at the Portman Ritz-Carlton Hotel for your entertainment after dinner.

Morning:
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Xi'an, China's ancient capital.
Afternoon:
Visit the Ancient City Wall, which is wee-preserved and still compasses the center of Xi'an before checking in at the hotel for 2 nights.

Morning:
Full day visit the world-famous Terracotta Warriors where life-sized infantrymen, archer, officers and their horses symbolically guard the tomb of the first Qin emperor.
Afternoon:
Visit the dramatic Wild Goose Pagoda and the Banpo Museum, which is the site of a typical Neolithic matriarchal community dating back about 6,000 years.
Evening:
After dinner you will be entertained with the marvelous Tang Dynasty Show.

(B+L) ♦ Day 12 Xi'an to Guilin
Morning:
Transfer to take the Flight to Guilin ¨C which has the most stunning scenery and the inspiration for many a Chinese artist.
Afternoon:
Upon arrival, meet the guide and visit historic Fubo Hill and the Reed Flute Cave- a 790 feet deep dripstone cave which includes myriads of stalactites and stalagmites of dazzling colors.

(B+L+D) ♦ Day 13 Guilin
Take a scenic river cruise along the Li River with its peaceful senerity and jagged limestone peaks. Lunch is included on board before arriving at Yangshuo where you have free time to explore and peruse the local shops and markets. Late afternoon continue to take the private vehicle back to Guilin.
