Ancient Culture Street and Tianhou Palace Tianjin

Special shops in the street sell folk arts such as Yangliuqing New Year pictures, painted clay figurines and Wei's kites. Tianhou Palace, also known as Niangniang Palace, was built in the Yuan Dynasty (1326) and is now located at the center of the Ancient Cultural Street. Formerly, it was a place where boatmen offered sacrifices to the God of Sea, conducted performances for thanking the God and held recreational activities and got together with friends and now it has been turned into the Tianjin Folk museum.
Haihe River Tourist Route Tianjin

Haihe River, the scenic axis of Tianjin, meanders through the downtown area of the city. Bridges built on the river are varied in styles. Pleasure-boats are moving to and fro on the river, tall buildings stand in great numbers, trees make a pleasant shade in the riverside park and birds sing and flowers give forth their fragrance. |
On the Haihe cultural Square are a carpet of green grass, eruptive fountains and hovering pigeons.

Zhou Enlai and Deng Yingchao Memorial Tianjin
Located in the northern side of the Water Park and covering an area of six hectares and a construction area of 7,150 square meters, the Zhou Enlai and Deng Yingchao Memorial includes the Introduction, Life, Feelings, Video, Multi-functional and Honored Guest halls, a research center and a cultural relic room, as well as the special plane by which Zhou Enlai traveled during his lifetime.

Museum of the Beiping-Tianjia Campaign Tianjin

Situated at the western side of Ziya River in Hongqiao District and covering an area of 47,000 square meters and a construction area of 13,996 square meters, the Museum of the Beiping-Tianjin Campaign is a special memorial hall, which shows in an overall way the great victory of the Beiping-Tianjin Campaign. The hall is composed of the Memorial Square with victory as the theme, the main body of the memorial hall and the Multi-dim tensional Demonstration Hall. The main hall is divided into six exhibition halls with a length of 740 meters and more than 2,500 exhibits. |
Tianjin Museum of Science and Technology

Natural Museum Tianjin

Situated at Machang Street in Hexi District, the Natural Museum grew out of the Beijing Museum. The new museum covering an area of 20,000 square meters was built in 1997. The museum is divided into the exhibition halls such as reptile, ancient mammal, zoo tope, aquatic animal am oh ibious reptile, marine shell, world insect and subtropical halls with more than 380,000 objects. |
Guangdong Guild Hall (Tianjin Theatre Museum) Tianjin
Located in the center of the old city of Tianjin, the Guang dong Guild Hall was built in the 33rd year (1907) under the reign of Emperor Guang Xu of the Qing Dynasty. The unique building of the Chinese traditional rectangular courtyard is a rare art treasure of wooden architecture. In 1912 Sun Yat-sen, forerunner of the Chinese, revolution, once made a speech there. The guild, hall has been turned into the Tianjin Theatre Museum. |

Memorial Hall of the Boxers' Uprising Tianjin

Memorial Hall of the Boxers' Uprising, a Taoist abbey to enshrine and worship Lu Dongbin, is situated at No.18 Hejia Lane, Ruyi'an Street, Hongqiao District. When the Boxers' Uprising happened in the 26th year under the reign of Emperor Guang Xu of the Qing Dynasty, Cao Futian, a noted leader of the Boxers' Uprising, established the raised plot which became the center of the Boxer Uprising. It was turned into the Memorial Hall of the Boxers' Uprising after reconstruction in 1985. |
Former Residence and Forest of Calligraphy Steles of Li Shutong
Li Shutong (1880-1942), a noted forerunner of the New Cultural Movement of modern China, is also an eminent monk of Buddhism of the Nanshan Sect Who enjoyed high reputation in the world. His former residence is located at No.60 Liangdian Street, Hebei District. The Forest of Calligraphy Steles of Li Shutong was built in 1990 on Zhouwei Road, Hebei District.
Huangyaguan Great Wall Tianjin
The Huangyaguan Great Wall, located in the northern end of Jixian County, was built in Northern Qi (550-577) and rebuilt in a large scale in the Ming Dynasty. This 3,025-meter-long great wall, built on the steep mountain ridge, is equipped with such defense facilities as battle platforms and watch towers, border blockhouses, water gates and smoke mounds, ancient barracks and the Eight-diagram pass city. |

The Forest of Calligraphy of 100 Noted Generals, Min glian Hall, the Great Wall Museum and aquatic amusement park have also been built there. The newly opened Wangmaoding Scenic Spot with pleasant scenery and 306 stone steps is organically combined with the ancient Great Wall.
Shiqu Park Tianjin

Situated at the foot of the Panshan Mountain in Jixian County, Shiqu Park contains the biggest Wanfo Temple with a complete array of Buddhist doctrine and monk treasures; the 3,024-meter-long huge cliff painting with 87 immortals carved on the stone embankment collected which is included in the Guinness; |
many queer and interesting stones of superlative craftsmanship; and the Yu Qingcheng Clay Sculpture Hall with a strong local color.
Dagukou Fort Barbette Tianjin
Dagukou Fort Barbette is situated at the confluence of Haihe River and the Bohai Sea and is the "Screen of Tianjin." Defenses were set up in the Ming Dynasty and the fort barbette constructed in the Qing Dynasty has gradually completed the defense system with "dignity, garrison, sea, gate and height" as the mainstay. The ruins of only three fort barbettes are left. The Dagukou Fort Barbette is the testimony of history of the Chinese nation, which resisted aggressors and defied brute force. |

Shi Family Mansion Tianjin
Located in Xiqing Yangliuqing, an ancient town with a history of some 1,000 years and the home of New Year pictures, Shi Family Mansion is the former residence of Shi family, one of the eight eminent families in Tianjin in the Qing Dynasty. Covering an area of 6,080 square meters, it is composed of four courtyards. The buildings have the smack of something classical in their design and conception and their brick, wood and stone carvings are particularly unique. It has been turned into the Yangliuqing Folk Museum. |

Residence and Tomb of Huo Yuanjia Tianjin
Huo Yuanjia (1869-1909) was a patriotic martial art master known throughout the world. He was the founder of the Jingwumen Martial Art School. His former residence has gray tile roofs and sun-dried mud brick walls and is located in an ordinary peasant's courtyard in Xiaonanhe Village of Xiqing District. To its south is the Tomb of Huo Yuanjia.
