Except for the Manager, the level of English (speaking and understanding) was absolutely below standard. Simple questions like "Where can we take the bus to Kaifeng" were not understood by Reception staff. Other than this rather important complaint we have no negative comments whatsoever. My friend fell ill with a cold and was offered a huge bowl of Ginger tea at breakfast (both mornings) to make her better. We thought this was an extremely nice gesture.
