should have the wifi in the room, they have internet access by line which I cannot use it with my mobile phone.

This is my second time staying at the Portman Plaza. During my first visit I was very impressed with the standard of service hence the reason of my return. During my recent visit I was not impressed with my stay as I had been earlier. We were placed in a different building, which was ok untill it cam to breakfast where we had to walk some distance to find the cafe we were to dine in. Last visit I was given a complimentary newspaper in English to read everyday with bowls of fruit and free water. This time I received none such items and never once was my bed turned down upoin arrival to my room in the evening. The room I was put in had a small kitchen however there were no untensils to utilise the appliances with. Im not sure when I will return to Ningbo however this time I will choose to stay elsewhere. The cleaning and baggage staff were friemdly and helpful although they spoke very little English. The front of house staff were not very clear as to what I was to pay upon arrival and my understanding was that 1000yuan deposit was taken from my credit card and so I was hugely dissapointed to find they had actually taken 5000yuan. It is important that a five star hotel like this, which has many foreign English speaking visitors has good spoken English staff at the front of house.

The room and the service were first rate. I should have asked for a non smoking room and I will in the future. Even in a smoking room the air was very good.The staff is very helpfull. I will return and use this hotel on my future business trips. Thanks to all the staff for making the stay very enjoyable.
