Located in southern China, Guilin (approximately 300,000 inhabitants) is surrounded by a natural landscape of incomparable beauty.
The limestone mountains have bizarre forms caused by erosion. There are many caves, rivers and small lakes in the area. These have made the city an important tourist destination.
