2008 Global Leadership Conference

With globalization, how to lead companies into positions of strategic advantage has become a top priority for corporate executives. The University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business will address this challenge with the 2008 Global Leadership Conference on June 5-7 at the Shanghai Hilton Hotel. The Smith School will co-host the event with the University of San Diego and the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL).

The theme of this year's conference is "Leadership transformation in a Global Economy," referring to the rich and varied theories and approaches to the study and practice of leadership, with the end goal the same across the globe – excellence in leadership.

Dr. Anil K. Gupta, Smith School Ralph J. Tyser Professor of Strategy and Organization and a renowned thought leader on strategy and globalization. "Top 20 North American Superstars" for research in strategy and organization by Management International Review;
Dr. Chris Ernst, research director on global leadership for the Center for Creative Leadership, Asia. He'd address speech on Global Leadership in the Context of Difference;
Dr. Xiaozhi Liu, CEO of NeoTek China and former GM executive in China, Taiwan and U.S.. She's an expert in woman leadership in global human reengineering;
Dr. Nicholas Barker, a researcher from Leadership Education at the East West Center and an expert in indigenous models of leadership in Asia Pacific;
