Wang Yimin, a 75-year-old man from Northeast China's Heilongjiang province, took his hundred-year-old mother by tricycle from his hometown to Shenzhen, South China's Guangdong province in a bid to realize his mother's dreams, eastday.com reported today. The two aged people appeared travel-stained but very excited. Wang has a family with five generations, and one day, his mother said that the days for her wasn't too long and she wanted to travel around, Wang said. "So I took her by tricycle and began our long-way journey," Wang said. He had planned to return after reaching Shanghai, but both of them received warm welcome and subsistence of the local governments and people, so they decided to continue their journey with high spirits, Wang said with excitement. "I want to express filial piety to my mother, which was written on my tricycle", Wang said. So far, Wang and his mother have went through nine provinces and three cities including Hebei province, Shandong province, Jiangsu province, Zhejiang province, Fujian province, Beijing, Shanghai and Tianjin, arriving in Shenzhen two days ago, or more than 10,000 kilometers. Though they were travel-worn and weary, they appeared high in spirits and strong in bodies. "My mother gained two kilograms of weight after leaving their hometown," Wang said with happiness. GuangZhou is their next stop, and then they will go to Hainan province, the South end of China, after which they will go back, Wang added.
