Air China plans 15 per cent capacity increase

AIR China is set to increase the number of flights it operates by 15 per cent, over the previous year, according to reports. During winter and spring, the airline, which hubs in Beijing, will operate an average of 3,760 flights each week. International destinations in Europe, Japan, and South Korea will see an increase in frequency of flights. The number of flights to domestic cities such as popular tourist destinations Hangzhou, Chengdu, Guiyang, and Shenzhen will also be increased. Air China is set to list on both London and Hong Kong stock exchanges in December. The state-owned carrier is expected to raise up to US$1.1 billion from the initial public offering. |
