Air China to expand its fleet with 19 new planes

Beijing-based Air China, the nation's flag carrier, will introduce 19 passenger planes this year to expand its fleet to 150, as an effort to enhance its competitiveness in the international air markets.
The new planes include two Boeing 767-300 passenger planes, and17 Boeing 737 and Airbus 320 carriers, according to a service promotion briefing meeting held in Chengdu, capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province.
To date, Air China operates on 56 international and 266 domestic air routes, believed to be the country's largest airways in terms of traffic volume.
