Asia's Biggest Shopping Mall to Open in Beijing
|
30-Apr-2004 - |
Beijing locals will have yet another venue for shopping sprees as the biggest shopping mall in Asia will open in the Chinese capital later this year.
When the giant shopping center at Beijing's Haidian District is in full operation, it would take someone 90 hours to visit every shop, even spending just 10 minutes in each one.
The multi-function center is a one-stop-shop for anything the buyer could want, including a car exhibition hall, seven cinemas, a sauna bath area, furniture stores and spacious food halls.
With a floor area of 680 thousand square meters, the shopping mall has two storeys underground and five above ground, with enough elevators installed in each floor for the huge numbers of customers.
Recently, more than 40 commercial outlets have signed contracts with the shopping center.
