Attractive Prices for Winter Travel
|
4-Nov-2004 - |
Travel bureaus and 100 sightseeing areas are offering competitive prices for winter trips to tourists from Guangdong Province starting from November.
About 30 percent of return flights are less than 1,000 yuan (US$120) and winter itineraries provided by travel agencies have increased from 40 to 100.
The return flights to Guizhou, Hunan and Fujian provinces are all quoted at less than 1,000 yuan. Prices for return flights to Beijing, Sichuan, Yunnan and east China are also down to 1,500 yuan.
Travel agencies started promoting travel itineraries based on different destinations such as hiking on snow-covered mountains, old towns in the snow and spending winter in a farmer's home, among others.
Insiders say that as the coming spring festival falls in February, travel agencies are fighting for winter tourism markets in advance. |
