Boeing makes China delivery

China Southern Airlines has taken delivery of its first-ever Boeing 737-700 series aircraft. It arrived at Baiyun International Airport in GuangZhou on January 20. The delivery of this new aircraft is part of China Southern's original order of 20 Boeing 737-800 aircraft. It elected to accept the initial 12 aircraft in the 737-800. Next Generation series ¨C with the balance of the delivery order to be taken in the 737-700 Next Generation series. This new aircraft will be a welcome addition to an aviation marketplace that is growing at an incredible pace, China Southern Airlines' Hubei branch deputy general manager, Mr Sun Jianhua, said. Hubei Province, located in the heart of the central part of China, is in the middle reaches of The Yangtze River. |
