The Hong Kong-Macau-Zhuhai bridge will most likely be completed by 2008, according to Hopewell Holdings chairman, Mr Gordon Wu, who has been placed in charge of the project.

The 30km bridge will be built at the cost of HK$4.14 billion (US$531 million) and will link up the three cities on the Pearl River Delta.

Mr Wu has ruled out the possibility of incorporating a railway on the bridge and it is expected to handle about 20,000 vehicles a day once completed.
