Cebu Pacific, the Philippines' second largest airlines company, will start direct flights from Manila to four destinations in China at lower fares, a local daily newspaper reported on Thursday.
The flights will be available for Shanghai, Guangzhou, Xiamen and Macao this September and October at fares 85 percent lower than the current ones, the Manila Bulletin said in a report.
Seat sale at these prices will run from June 28 to July 4, 2007,according to the report. The tickets can be used for travel until Dec. 15, 2007.
"We are aware of the importance of these China markets to our country's tourism agenda and we hope we can stimulate travel to and from these destinations," the report quoted Cebu Pacific President and CEO Lance Y. Gokongwei as saying.
Cebu Pacific is not yet offering flights from Manila to the Chinese capital Beijing. "We will look into this possibility," according to the airline's Vice President for Marketing and Product Candice Iyog. |
