Travel between China and Germany is expected to become easier this year as airlines add more than a dozen weekly services between the two countries, carriers and reports said Thursday. Lufthansa begins a new direct service on Sunday that will link Munich and the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou. The airline said in a statement that it would fly the route five times a week and that the service would become daily on April 1. Lufthansa will also introduce a new Beijing-Munich route, offering three weekly direct flights, the statement said. It will also reinstate three weekly flights between Hong Kong and Munich, and add two more flights to its Shanghai and Munich services. Meanwhile, Shanghai Airlines will start flying to Germany by the end of the month, The South China Morning Post said. |
