China Eastern Airlines, one of the country's three major carriers, said it planned to start air links between Shanghai and London, and other overseas and domestic cities. From June 16, the airline will launch flights linking Shanghai and London every Monday, Thursday and Saturday with a one-way ticket priced at around 3,500 yuan (about 420 US dollars) to 4,000 yuan (about 480 US dollars). The airline will also improve its services to Japan, the Republic of Korea and southeast Asian nations by increasing the number of destinations.
