In 2005 China launched six antidumping investigations against imported products, safeguarding the security of domestic industries on the basis of international rules, the Ministry of Commerce said Friday.
In 2005, China made a preliminary ruling on seven antidumping cases and final ruling on six cases, the ministry said. After taking antidumping measures, domestic industries were protected from being injured by cheap imported products, it said.
In order to further safeguard the security of domestic industries, the Ministry of Commerce continued its surveillance over 456 kinds of major products in 2005, and enhanced the early-warning information collection in the fields of automobiles, fertilizer, steel, iron, textile and IT products.
The Ministry of Commerce established injury early-warning mechanisms in the Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River Delta, and held a series of lectures and training programs on protection of domestic industry in some parts of China.
