China marks three decades of relations with Malaysia

The China National Tourism Administration and Embassy of the People's Republic of China will be presenting its Around China in 7 Days China Tourism Week from May 29 to June 4 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relationships between the China and Malaysia.
Sino-Malaysian ties have been stepped up since the year 2004 was declared Malaysia-China Friendship Year following a bilateral meeting between Malaysian prime minister, Dato' Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, and Chinese president, Mr Wen Jiabao, on September 16 last year in Beijing.
China Tourism Week will be launched with a grand opening ceremony on 31 May at Berjaya Times Square in Kuala Lumpur. The event will involve participants from China such as Beijing, Shanghai, Hebei, Henan, Guangdong, Shanxi, Yunnan and Zhejiang tourism representatives.
Activities during the week include live stage performances of Chinese Acrobatics, Peking Opera, and Shaolin Martial Arts; demonstration of Chinese folk handicrafts such as glass painting, dough sculpture, candy figurine and candy painting; a large TV screen showing non-stop videos on China tourism destinations; and, free travel brochures, souvenirs and a daily lucky draw for the public.
