The construction of a wharf catering for super-yachts is expected to begin in October in Haikou, capital of China's southernmost island province of Hainan.
The planned wharf will be 260 meters long with exclusive berths10.5 meters deep.
The whole project is expected to cost 40 million yuan (4.8 million US dollars).
At present, international yachts sailing to and from the island have to berth at a wharf for cargo ships.
With its coastline of pristine beaches, the beautiful tropical island is described as China's Hawaii.
