China to offer more jobs to foreigners
|
22-Oct-2002 - |
Representatives of about 470 economic, cultural and educational organizations and employment agencies from 20 countries are scheduled to gather in China for talks on job opportunities on October 23. They are expected to hold talks with representatives of Chinese institutions and enterprises in Nanjing, capital of Jiangsu Province, east China. The talks are sponsored by the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs. Organizers of the talks said overseas professionals would be hired for designated projects for what they called "short periods",not for individual vacancies. On the sidelines of the talks, Nanjing plans to open vacancies in 370 projects to Chinese professionals trained overseas and to seek overseas investment. The projects involve information technology, bio-engineering pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, environmental protection and agriculture. |
