Chinese holiday makers will soon have the option of buying holiday homes,said Meng Xiaosu,chairman of the board of the China Real Estate Development (Group)Corp. The first batch of 10 tourist cities in China including Beijing,Shanghai and Kunming,are expected to introduce houses for holiday-takers in the next six months,Meng said. The occupancy rights of the houses will be separated into 52 weeks a year to sell to 52 different house buyers with various time limits offered including 30 years,40 years and 50 years.After paying usage rights the house buyers can enjoy a weeklong holiday every year in their own 'holiday houses.'They can also enjoy other rights such as inheritance,sales and transference and acquire mortgages.For example,housing rents in Malaysia reached RM 700 (US$184.1)a day amounting to RM5,000a week,but if you pay RM18,000,you will have usage rights for the house for one week a year for 50years.House-buyers can also sell the house at a higher price to gain profits. Such houses are like two or three-star hotels inside and high earners will be the target consumers,Meng said.Shanghai has a large travel market and Shanghai people like to try new things,so the new housing models are believed to have great potential here,Meng said.
