DIY Tours for More Cities

Nine cities will be added to the list for individual residents to make trips to Hong Kong and Macao from July, the Ministry of Public Security announced Tuesday, the Web site of China News Service reported. The nine newcomers are Fuzhou's urban area, the cities of Xiamen and Quanzhou in Fujian Province, Nanjing, Suzhou and Wuxi in Jiangsu Province, Hangzhou, Ningbo and Taizhou in Zhejiang Province. Residents of Beijing, Shanghai and 19 Guangdong cities including Shenzhen are already eligible to apply for travel to the two regions. Seven cities in Guangdong will be included in May giving residents of the entire province the right to make individual trips. Other Chinese citizens must join tour groups to visit the two special administrative regions. |
