Domestic tour prices to rise
|
8-Apr-2004 - |
Prices for domestic tours during the seven-day May Day holiday are expected to be 10 to 30 percent higher than normal. Major travel agencies in Guangdong have already started vying for tourists. There will be no remarkable price differences compared with last year's May holidays, but the prices will definitely be lower than this year's Spring Festival, the agencies say. Most domestic itineraries are priced around 2,000 yuan (US$240) to 3,000 yuan. Tours to natural beauty spots and tourist resorts are expected to be favored by travelers. DIY driving tours are also expected to be popular with car owners in GuangZhou and Shenzhen. Guangdong travel agencies have already started receiving registrations for group tours. Travelers are advised to choose big travel agencies with good reputations and to sign contracts with agencies to protect their legal rights in case of accidents or shortcomings. |
