Fast rail attracts more tourists for Scenic Spots

Dalian Golden Pebble Beach attracted 2.37 million tourists in 2003, among whom 580 thousand came by fast rail train, accounting to 24.5 percent of the total number of tourists in the whole year. The number of tourists in 2003 has increased by 31.7 percent of that of last year, mostly due to the opening of the fast rail train. Numbers of travelers are attracted by a series of activities entitled "Fast Rail Train Golden Pebble Tourism Year." It's been customs for some Dalian local citizens to have a out-door tour at Golden Pebble Beach at each weekend. Besides, the package tickets, free lunch also are the attractions to the travelers. |
