First "hotel-style" inpatient building in east China province

East China's Jiangxi Province has recently opened its first "hotel-style" inpatient building to provide better accommodation for cancer patients.
Affiliated to the Jiangxi Tumor Hospital in the provincial capital Nanchang, the seven-storey building has an interior design along hotel lines.
Like a typical twin-bed room in a hotel, each ward in the building is equipped with television, air-conditioner, telephone, a closet and other facilities, creating a comfortable environment for patients to recover in.
The interior corridors are also decorated with fresh flowers and elegant frescoes.
A standard twin-bed room cost 40 yuan (about five US dollars) per day, sources said.
