Gas network built along south-east coast
|
9-Mar-2005 - China Daily |
China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) has made concrete progress on its projects in Guangdong, Fujian, Zhejiang and Shanghai recently as its liquefied natural gas (LNG) item in Shanghai was pushed forward into a substantial stage. This marks that China's gas network along its south-east coast has taken shape. It is learned from CNOOC that the Guangdong LNG operation is a joint venture with Chinese capital as the holding party. The planned capacity for the first phase is 3.7 million tons per year while the second is 7 million tons per year. The port of destination provides special anchorages for LNG tanks carrying 145,000 liter meters of LNG. The project is scheduled to be in operation in June, 2000. |
