THE Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has announced Chinese province Guangxi will participate in the fifth Thailand Travel Mart Plus Amazing Gateway to Mekong Sub-region 2006 (TTM Plus 2006) at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani from September 24 to 29.
TTM Plus 2006 is a tourism trade event co-organised by the TAT, Tourism Council of Thailand, the Federation of Thai Tourism Association and the private sector.
The event aims to be a regional platform for small- and medium-sized tourism enterprises from Thailand and the Mekong countries (Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia and Chinese provinces Yunnan and Guangxi) to meet with more than 300 hosted buyers from around the world.
The buyer-meet-seller sessions will be held between September 26 and 28.
Meanwhile, the TAT will participate in the 12th Otdykh-Leisure Moscow 2006 at IEC Crocus Expo in Moscow between September 19 and 22 to lure more tourists from the lucrative Commonwealth Independence States to Thailand. The TAT said Aeroflot would operate three charter flights per month between Moscow and Phuket from August to April and three charter flights per month between Moscow and Krabi from November and April. |
