HK devoted to regional cooperation

Hong Kong Chief Executive Donald Tsang has reaffirmed the city's pledge to push forward regional cooperation. At the ongoing Second Pan-Pearl River Delta Regional Cooperation and Development Forum, Donald Tsang said the booming economy in the region brings fresh incentive to Hong Kong's development. Donald Tsang noted Hong Kong would try to boost regional cooperation by encouraging more mainland companies to expand their business to the major financial hub of Asia-Pacific region. The Hong Kong chief added more than three hundred mainland enterprises have been listed in the city with the total investment volume of 900 billion Hong Kong dollars, or about 116 billion US dollars. Senior officials from Hong Kong, Macao and nine provinces in the Peal River Delta region attend the forum, which is held in Chengdu, capital city of China's southwest Sichuan Province. |
