Hong Kong Postmaster General LukPing-chuen announced recently the launch of a new series of definitive stamp sheetlets by HongKong Post to portray some of the most spectacular sceneries in China. The first of this series depicting Hukou Waterfall of the Huang He (Yellow River) will be issued on September 7, 2002. This stamp sheetlet features magnificent scenes of the Hukou Waterfall: the greatest yellow waterfall in the world. The stamp sheetlet is designed by Arde Lam and printed in photogravure by Joh. Enschede Security Printers, the Netherlands. This stamp sheetlet incorporates a 10-Hong Kong-dollar-definitive stamp and will be sold at 10 HK dollars each. To match the overall sheetlet design, the background color of the definitive stamp has been changed from the current white color to yellowish. A presentation pack containing a stamp sheetlet will be available for sale at 18 HK dollars each at all post offices as from September 7, 2002. |
