Hong Kong Opens its First Wetland Park

Hong Kong's first "ecological theme park", the Hong Kong Wetland Park, is making its debut in May.
The Wetland Park is located in New Territory in northern Hong Kong. The Park includes an exhibition hall over 10,000 square metres in size, as well as more than 60 hectares of wetlands.
The wetland area encompasses various landscapes, such as freshwater swamps, a man-made mud beach, and a mangrove forest, and is home to over 190 species of birds, 40 kinds of dragonflies and over 200 types of butterflies, among many other natural wonders.
Hong Kong hopes the Wetland Park can serve as a tourist attraction and draw more visitors. |
