Also this year the 'Chunyun' confirmes to be the largest human migration in the world
Million Chinese in this period are traveling to be reunited with their families on the occasion of Chinese New Year, which this year begins February 19. They are traveling with all transport systems, planes, trains, cars, buses, ships. This year, many peoples have also chosen to travel by motorcycle. The efficient rail system of high-speed trains this year has absorbed a crescent part of traffic, confirming to be one of the best in the world. Also the airports are very crowded, with many special flights that are increasing the air traffic. Hundreds of thousands of people are committed to ensuring the regularity and safety of transport. All the big stations and all airports are guarded by armed police (but also by sophisticated automatic control systems). So also this year the 'Chunyun' (the period of travel during the Chinese New Year) is proving to be the largest human migration in the world. The 40-day period of Chunyun, started on 4 February this year lasts until 16 March. In this period in China will take place about 2.8 billion trips. In all large Chinese cities this year there will be limited fireworks to combat pollution. |
