Indonesian islands to have tourism development guidelines

INDONESIA Department of Culture and Tourism will be issuing guidelines on developing small islands for tourism purposes.
The final draft of the guidelines is awaiting approval from the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mr Jero Wacik.
Acting Deputy Minister for Product Development, Mr Pardomuan Siregar, said: "The guidelines will give regional governments something to refer to when they want to develop the small islands for tourism."
The guidelines will cover the type of facilities and foreign and local investments needed and how to include the local community.
