Industrial production growth down 4.3% in Mar.

The growth of China's industrial production dropped 4.3 percent in March this year compared with the same period last year, figures released Friday by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) show.
According to the NBS figures, all state-owned industrialenterprises and non-state-owned industrial enterprises with sales volume exceeding 5 million yuan each achieved 536.7 billion yuan in added value in March this year, representing a 15.1 percent increase year-on-year.
Figures show that the country's industrial production continues to grow rapidly in the first quarter, and the enterprises achieved 1441.5 billion yuan in added value, up 16.2 percent over the same period of last year.
The sales ratio of industrial products stood at 97.33 percent, an increase of 0.34 percentage points over the first quarter in 2004.
During the period, the industrial enterprises exported 947.3 billion yuan worth of goods, a rise of 31.6 percent year-on-year.
The production of pig iron, crude steel and steel reported a growth of 27.3, 23.8 and 22.4 percent, respectively.
The output of crude coal produced by the industrial enterprisesreached 382 million tons in January-March period of this year, up 9.1 over the same period of last year.
